Great work again by our friends at Brando, who we team up with for the new 48 mobile tariff spot introducing Ireland’s first data-only mobile phone plan. Following on from previous commercials featuring artists as diverse as ambient electro act Keep Shelly In Athens, through to the J48′s J Pop cover of Pon Pon Pon.
This time we feature the soundtrack from those specialists in Narcocorrido (that’s Mexican for a drugs ballad we’re reliably informed) Los Cuates De Sinaloa. Mistakes Make Better Stories.
Damn right hombres.

Danni Nicholls pens global publishing deal.

We are delighted to welcome the acclaimed singer songwriter and darling of the UK Americana scene, Danni Nicholls to our publishing division.

Her latest EP ‘Time’ produced by Iain Archer (Snow Patrol, Reindeer Section, Tired Pony) is a breath of musical fresh air and with a full album due to be recorded in Nashville in December with producer/bassist Chris Donohue (Emmylou Harris, Robert Plant, Lyle Lovett)– we’re all a little bit excited.

Supported by Jimmy Turner’s global sub publishing deal with Notting Hill Music, Danni will be embarking upon new collaborations with NH artists as well as her relentless live performance schedule in 2013.

Placing ‘Winter Song’ by Sara Bareilles & Ingrid Michaelson, it’s reached the coveted number 1 position in the iTunes singles charts in Ireland. Former UNKLE member Aidan Lavelle joins our composer roster

Aidan Lavelle is a London based composer and producer who has had a prolific career in music, most notably writing and producing with The British band UNKLE. and has enjoyed a career to date that has seen him work with artists such as; Gorillaz, Ian Brown, Queens Of The Stone Age, Massive Attack, Ian Astbury and The Big Pink. We are delighted to welcome Aidan to the team for bespoke composition requests.
Aidan joined brother James and Pablo Clements in a revamped UNKLE in 2005 with the new crew producing remixes for dance acts and bands including; Layo & Bushwacka, Black Mountain, Massive Attack, Skylark and Dubfire, before embarking on three album projects, art instillations, various film scores and advertising campaigns.

After leaving UNKLE, Aidan has steered towards a specific direction into film scoring and bespoke compositions for commercials working with high end brands such as BMW, Zurich Insurance, NSPCC, Jagermeister, Johnnie Walker, Amnesty International, Pele and Chivas Whiskey. Aidans composition for the latest Childline campaign recently made the revered Advertising Producer Association 50. The top 50 adverts chosen of 2012.
Aidan has written original score for features Lives of the Artists II: Follow Me Down, Cherry Tree Lane and The Caller for Sony Pictures.
Other noted work includes a variation on the X-Files theme for the 2008 film X-Files: I Want To Believe and the theme for the Euro 2008 Championships for the BBC which won an award at the Royal Television Society Kraft & Design Awards 2008 for best titles.

Our content development programme ramps up several notches, as we announce deals with Sony Music & Defected Records for our In Flight entertainment services.
Sony’s The Guest List series features concerts, interviews, on location and behind the scenes footage of artists including Kasabian, The Vaccines, Manic Street Preachers, Miles Kane & Lissie.
Defected’s iconic Adventures In Clubland series takes in partying from all over the globe from the opening parties of Ibiza, Tokyo, Amsterdam, Brazil & London along with interviews from Groove Armada, Felix Da Housecat and many more. Coming to a plane near you soon.

Notting Hill sub publishing deal gets inked

Feeling very much like a footballer who jumps up a league or two, we put pen to paper on a 3 year deal with those industry heavyweights Notting Hill Music – home to copyrights of artists such as Eminem, Beyonce & Dizzy Rascal.

Our global sub publishing deal sees their international offices introduce our artists to new shores whilst in return we act as a A & R mechanic offering our publishing signings to their label Transmission Records.
